Answer: We plant small pieces of sugarcane in the field.

Answer: We cut a twig from the developed plant and is sown in the soil , and after a few days the leaves appear over the stem ( twig ) .

Question 8. How does plants grow on the roofs?

Answer: The birds take fruit to the roof and eat them . The seeds are left on the roof. Some times excreta of the bird contains some seeds, in this way the seeds reach on the roof and grow on the roofs. Some of the seeds like akk and congress grass can also reach on the roof by flying through air.

Answer: Air, water and sunlight are required for the growth of seeds.
