Question 1. Describe an incident when your neighbours helped you in a particular situation or you helped them.

 Answer: Once my mother slipped and fell. There was no one in our house. When she screamed, our neighbours picked her up and took her to the hospital and got her treated. Now she is fine. 

 Question 2. What are the benefits of staying in a society? 

Answer: Humans help each other by living together. They also stay safe in society .

 Question 3. Among your neighbours which family do you like the most and why? 

Answer: There is a couple living in our neighborhood. Their parents are very old. They serve them a lot. That's why I like them very much. 

 Question 4. Name the community places in your locality and for what purpose are these used? (for e.g. Dharmsala, religious place, marriage palaces etc.) 

Answer: There is a marriage palace in our village. The villagers get their children married there at a low cost. 

 Activity 1. Ask your parents, if they have faced any natural disaster and then who helped them.

 Answer: If they face natural disaster the people of neighbourhood help each other.

 Answer: During floods, people's mud houses collapse, crops are destroyed, livestock die, food shortages occur, and epidemics spread.

 Answer: Humans build houses to protect themselves from heat, cold, rain, wind, and animals. 

 Question 9. Which insects live in colonies?

 Answer: Ants, termites, honey bees, wasps etc. live in colonies.

 Question 10. What is an ambulance? 

Answer: It is a vehical used to carry patients and accident victims to hospitals. First aid facility and some simple medical facilities are available in it.
